Finding Fall and a giveaway- Day 1: Fall Wreath

The family is getting better but now I'm the one a little under the weather. No time to be sick though because it's time to begin the Finding Fall Series! You have a chance to enter for a giveaway all week long and at the end of the week (Sept 8) there will be a linky party so everyone will be able to share how they are getting ready for Fall! My first project was to dress up our 'S' wreath for the Fall season...

I needed a couple packs of mini pumpkins from the dollar store...

Spray painted white (and some silver)...

And some leaves from the dollar store...

Pull all of the leaf stems off of the vine they are on (the little ones), then began arranging the leaves and playing with them in a few different styles...

Until you find one you like... I decided on this design...

Then play around with the decorative pumpkins until you find a look you like...

One you have decided on how you want everything arranged, begin gluing everything down...

My end result...

I hung it from a big brown ribbon...

And added a bow in that same ribbon plus some brown gingham ribbon I had and glued a couple little sprigs of berries to it...

I love how it looks blowing in the breeze... It actually feels like Fall is on the way when we get the breezes, even though living in Florida I know it will be a while before we can wear our jeans and sweaters...

Now we have a warm and welcoming wreath to greet our guests when they come over, and for those walking and driving by...

Did you know that there was a recall for canned pumpkins and now they only carry them in the supermarkets during the holidays? I just learned that today, at least here in Florida that is the case, but I would assume it's everywhere.
